Thor Construction plans to build a $30 million retail and office development – including a new headquarters for the company itself – on Minneapolis’ North Side.
The Star Tribune reports on the project, which Fridley-based Thor announced late Tuesday. The 92,000-square-foot development, located at Plymouth and Penn avenues, would include multi-tenant offices and retail space, along with an underground parking garage.
“We feel confident that this is the right move for us, as a successful minority-owned company, to put our corporate stakes down in a part of the city that is yearning for private sector investment and commercial real estate development.” Said Thor president Ravi Norman. Thor’s founder lived near the development site as a child.
Thor has tapped commercial real estate brokerage firm, Colliers International, to market the retail and office space to potential tenants.
