The Metro Green Line (formerly called the Central Corridor) is an 11-mile light rail line that connects the central business districts of Minneapolis and Saint Paul in Minnesota as well as the University of Minnesota.• Line consists of 18 stations, plus 5 stations shared with the Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT) in downtown Minneapolis
• Total project budget of $957 million, funded by a combination of federal, state and local sources
• More than 5,500 construction, engineering and other workers have been employed on the Project
• 47 new Light Rail Vehicles were built
• Heavy construction began in 2010 and ended in 2012
• More than 12,000 tons of rail were required for the project
• 34,180 cubic yards of concrete performed by THOR Construction
• 9" thick roadways with 11" thick intersections
