Japonais, one of New York City's most adored and critically-acclaimed restaurants, goes west. Renowned restaurateurs Miae Lim, Rick Wahlstedt, and Jeffrey Beers partnered with the Mirage Casino Hotel, to bring the culinary fusion Japonais, to the Las Vegas Strip. Guests are immediately welcomed with a glowing glass canopy and dark slate tile, to create a theatrical foyer to the restaurant. Continuing around the 110ft living glass wall, backlit with onyx and red details, the Robata lounge and bar will immerse the guest with circular mahogany trellises, shimmering silver and gold drapery, and a state-of-the-art sound system. Adjacent to the lounge is a private dining room with its own bar, custom chandeliers, trellises, water elements, and colorful lounge seating. The main dining room is constructed of dark plank wood and angulated walnut "fin" ceiling columns, in addition to the restaurant's trademark walls, made of red brick and blue glass designed to resemble water. THOR Construction was selected to construct the Japonais signature location, due to their integrity, responsibility, and ability to manage complex projects.
