This 50+ megawatt generating plant was constructed on an 84-acre industrial park. It is the United States' first ever poultry litter fired power plant. The plant burns poultry manure and bedding, silage and other area biomass products to create enough electricity to power 50,000 homes. THOR worked with local concrete suppliers to perform the forming and concrete placement for the turbine generator, condenser fabric filter house building, and stack foundations. This included the boiler building foundation mat slab which contain 3,265 cubic yards of concrete placed in one pour.
